About Our Founder

Sunset Pines is a second family for seniors with dementia and end of life care needs. Our 16 bedroom community has a beautiful home-like feel while providing quality nursing care around the clock. Residents are able to move at their own pace throughout the day to accomplish their daily tasks with staff to resident ratios that tower above other senior living options. We offer meaningful opportunities for residents to stay engaged in their community; life long learning, local trips, meal preparation, gardening and so much more. The picturesque location of Sunset Pines offers a beautiful view out of every window.

Jessica Barton feels a deep connection to this community as a life-long resident of Seville, Ohio. She first felt drawn to geriatric nursing while volunteering in a nursing home during her nursing program in college. Jessica has 20 years of nursing experience, 9 of which have been in senior living. The experience she gained in nursing homes and assisted living inspired her to create a home for seniors that allows for their contentment while providing nurses a workplace they can feel proud of. Her experience with the United States Air Force and her Christian faith have taught her the importance of sacrifice and compassion. She continues to maintain her residence in Seville in order to be responsive to her business. Because Sunset Pines is part of her family, you will often see her children, Evan and Libby helping out and visiting with the residents.
